tutu's and footballs....

The last two weeks have been a whirlwind. Even though I am a self proclaimed type A personality...it is very apparent that I have never been this busy in all my life. I am the "task master", yet it seems I cannot complete any task! Between pumping and the nicu I have very little time for anything else...so I apologize for not keeping you all better informed!

So what is going on in our lives? We try to plan visits around the times we can hold them so I am trying to work a few hours in the am, then arrive at the nicu by 10:15 hold  for 45 minutes(usually both boys in the am), then leave and meet someone about the construction that is going on at our house, then come back to nicu at 1(pump AGAIN) and again at 4pm(and PUMP again), then go home and wash clothes etc then PUMP then whit gets home about 7:30-8 and we eat dinner on the run, then head back up to the nicu. We usually get home between 11 and 12, then the process starts over at 7am the next day. WHEW, I'm tired just telling you about it!

But..........all of that doesn't matter, because ultimately we are growing these babies with each visit, each kiss and each feed. Looks like they will turn the three pound mark this weekend :)

The Hillcrest Nicu is the most amazing example of care that I have witnessed and the NURSES are just precious.  Yesterday when I arrived they presented me with pictures of Gianna in a tutu,  Riggs with a baseball glove and Becker with a football. TOO cute, made my heart melt. They truly give you happiness while you are waiting to bring your angels home.

We have had so many wonderful calls, prayers and visits. Because the nicu strives to stay germ free, we are limiting friend/family nicu visits. We love that everyone wants to see them, but we just don't want to bombard the staff- and our babies :) BUT, we can't wait for you to come over once they come home!!!!
We will post more pics soon!

The triplets arrived on may 27th

Well a lot has changed since I last posted. Last Thursday, may 26th about 9:30 my water broke. After 12 hours of crying and pleaing dr rister announced they were coming and we couldn't stop them. All three babies arrived shortly after 3 and they are all thriving in the nicu.

We are tired but adjusting to a life of nicu visits and lots of daily tests and bloodwork while still juggling life and work.nThey are doing so good and seem to be shocking dr wheeler and his team. The nurses are incredible and I am already planning a huge fourth of July food spread for everyone working the nicu. I cannot tell you the amount of calls, emails and visits we have received. All of the doctors and nurses has been expecting us and have been a real blessing.

I can say that I loved loved loved being pregnant and I miss the 4-8 wks that were stolen from me. I was super sad to no longer carry them in complete protection but grateful beyond words to see them thrive. In will upload pics soon!

Thank you for all the prayers and love!
